Perhaps the most enjoyable aspect of your visit
to Stourcastle Lodge will be the wonderful cuisine, served in our welcoming dining room.
Jill is an accomplished chef who takes full advantage of the many and varied local
delicacies. She offers a different menu every evening, including dishes such as local lamb
roasted and served on a leek and lime sauce, followed by deserts such as whiskey and lemon
bread and butter pudding. Some of her eclectic creations are unique to the Lodge, as Jill
makes clever use of herbs, flowers and vegetables grown in their own gardens. You will
find the food irresistible!

The individually-decorated bedrooms take their
names from the Dashwood Family who owned the Lodge during the eighteen hundreds. To keep
the tradition, the bedrooms have antique brass bedsteads and an atmosphere charged with
the fragrance of dried flowers and spices. All are en-suite: some have showers, others
whirlpool baths, and all have tea and coffee-making facilities, radio, TV, telephone and
hairdryers. Providing the perfect haven to end the day, your only link to the outside
world should be the telephone!

After a good night's rest, a memorable breakfast awaits you in the dining room overlooking the Logde's picturesque gardens. You may choose a traditional Great British Breakfast, something more exotic such as smoked salmon kedgeree, or simply enjoy freshly-brewed coffee and crusty homemade bread with delicious local preserves. Whatever your fancy, you are guaranteed a wonderful start to your day of exploring glorious Dorset... ...and of course, an exhausting day exploring the beautiful Dorset countryside will prepare you for your delectable four course dinner! Then relax in our cosy, comfortable sitting room - or spend a few moments visiting with our resident hedgehog family before retiring to your welcoming bedroom. |
